PAEDIATRIC SURGEON, MBBS FRACS (General and Paediatric Surgery)
Dr Dilley did his general surgical training at St George Hospital and went on to complete his paediatric surgical training at Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick. After two years at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, he commenced paediatric surgical practice back home in Sydney in 2000.
Dr Anthony Dilley consults at Gymea and Randwick and has Public Hospital appointments at St George Hospital at Kogarah, The Royal Hospital for Women at Randwick and The Sutherland Hospital at Caringbah.
He regularly performs procedures privately at St George Private Hospital in Kogarah and Sydney Surgical Centre at Randwick.
Dr Dilley also has privileges at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Kareena Private Hospital. As well as general paediatric surgical procedures under general anaesthetic, Dr Dilley also performs newborn circumcision and tongue tie release for newborns, with local anaesthetic, in his office.
Dr Dilley has a particular passion for the provision of paediatric surgical care in the St George District and Sutherland Shire. Apart from his four years of paediatric surgical training, he has been a part of St George Hospital since his student days in 1984. Since 1993 he has lived in Sutherland Shire and his main consultation site is in Gymea.
Having comprehensive training as a trauma surgeon, he completed 12 years of service with the Royal Australian Navy Reserve in 2019 and his involvement included active service overseas.
Anthony has a longstanding interest in surgical education and is active with teaching activities with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has a particular interest in communication skills and conflict management and is in the process of completing a Master’s degree in this field.
